Parental Leave Adventures

So after Abby was born, we found out that TD will "top off" EI benefits for a few weeks so Jordan decided to take 5 weeks to be at home with me and Abby! AWESOME! He still had CASB work to do, but for the most part we could have some great family time before he started at KPMG Oct 1. 

So what did we do with 5 weeks of parental leave?

Went hiking (with Angela, Jon, Liam, and Anna!)

Ran some races

Spartan Race (technically before his parental leave)

 2by2 Rebuild the Zoo (Jordan did 5km)

 I ran 2.5km and my mom walked with Abby. When my mom got close to the finish line, I went and jogged the last bit with Abby in the stroller

Jordan came in third in our heat

Went to the Calgary Corn Maze

 Such a hot day!

We went with Emily and Missy

 Missy brought popcorn! (clever!)

 We actually had more fun on all the play stuff than in the maze

Abby just slept the whole time

Toured the National Music Centre

(Free on the first Thursday of every month)

 It was really neat

 Our tour guide was funny

 This was like a digital piano...except when you pressed a key, a recording on a tape played

The pianos were SO beautiful!

Went downtown

 This is my favorite Hole in the Wall bubble tea shop. I think it's called "Try Again"? It's in Chinatown. But ya, basically it rocks because they have SOOO many flavours! (warning - cash only)

Went to a football game

Jordan's cousin plays for Wisewood. It was fun but too loud for Abby. We had to go hang out under the bleachers.

 You know a flood has ravaged the area when a picnic table is in the middle of a field of rocks!

Jordan perfected a pizza dough recipe and we wanted to invite Megan and Robin over to share a pizza with us, but they just had a baby and weren't feeling up to leaving the house. So we decided to bring the pizza to them! I even convinced the pizza guy at CPU to give me a pizza box! (I offered to pay but he just gave it to me). It was so much fun to do this! Watch out…you might be next to receive a random pizza! (Sorry the quality of the video is so bad...I'm too lazy to fix it)

Went to Lethbridge so Abby could meet her Great-Grandparents
