Much Ado About Nothing

After last week’s torrential rain prevented us from watching shakespeare in the park, we decided we’d try again. Fortunately, the weather remained sunny and we had a great night. The play featured was “Much Ado About Nothing”. Neither of us had read or seen the play, so we were a little worried about keeping up with the story line, but it ended up being fairly easy to follow and had lots of funny parts. It amazes me how the actors can memorize all of their lines. The whole production is quite incredible. If you live in the Calgary area and want to check it out, follow this link for more information. The great part about it is that it’s free! (Although they do suggest making a donation of about $20 per person) After the play we walked around Prince’s Island and went to Thai Tai on 17th Ave for Vietnamese subs and bubble tea (strawberry with lychee jelly!). We then proceeded to sit and watch all the crazy drunk Stampede go-ers wearing their “cowboy” get-up (aka mini skirts and halters)...so ridiculous!
